Florian Schütz is the first Federal Cybersecurity Delegate reporting directly to the Head of the Federal Department of Finance and is the contact for the political world, the media, and the general public on questions related to cyber risks. Florian heads the National Cybersecurity Centre (NCSC) and is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the national strategy for the protection of Switzerland against cyber risks (NCS). Florian also heads the interdepartmental committees on improving the coordination of activities in the area of cyber-risks, specifically the Cyber Core Group and the NCS Steering Committee.

Florian took over this function in August 2019. He has a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Master of Advanced Studies in Security Policy and Crisis Management from ETH Zurich and has over ten years of management experience in the private sector in the area of IT security.
