I am currently the Head of Incident Response and a member of the Cyber Defense Operations team at Swiss Re, handling a wide variety of cyber incidents to their successful conclusion.
Prior to Swiss Re, I was the Head of Detection Engineering and the senior cyber security analyst in the UBS Security Operations Center in Zurich. My first full time cyber security position was with Swisscom, helping to build their B2B Security Operations Center and was that teams first dedicated security analyst supporting a wide range of Enterprise customers.
Cyber security has been in my blood since before 1996 when I was able to work for the first time performing server and network hardening activities and monitoring for network attacks against my companies assets because of the ever present mischievous goings-on from attendees of DEF CON 6 in Las Vegas. Despite the ups and downs of this industry and the relentlessness of constant attacks, this still causes my heart to race and I enjoy every minute of it!
