Application Process

Below is a step-by-step guide to the application and award process.

To be considered, the applicants need to be based in Switzerland and working in the relevant industry, but not for a cybersecurity vendor company.

Choose one category that best represents your achievements and expertise. The categories are Swiss CISO of the Year, CISO for Culture and Diversity, and Future Leader.

The “Future Leader” category is designed for emerging talents who are potential future CISOs but aren’t currently in that role. It’s important to note that any award with “CISO” in its title is reserved exclusively for individuals currently serving as CISOs or in an equivalent capacity within their organization.

Provide your contact information, background, and significant achievements in cybersecurity.
Share your journey into the field of cybersecurity and articulate why your work deserves recognition.
Answer the specific questions related to the chosen category to highlight your contributions and initiatives.

If you’re nominating someone else, please fill out the nomination form above. We will contact the nominee directly after reviewing your submission and request them to provide the required information.

Application deadline is: 30 June 2026

In July, the jury will review all applications and select finalists. The finalists will be publicly announced and invited to participate in background interviews.
All selected finalists will be invited to attend the Global Cyber Conference and the Swiss CISO Awards ceremony.
In August, the jury will choose one winner for each category.
The official award ceremony will take place on 01 September 2026 at The Dolder Grand in Zurich, where the winners in each category will be formally announced.

To maximize your chances, ensure your responses to the category questions are detailed and compelling to clearly demonstrate your impact in the field of cybersecurity.
